Food lovers have tuned into The Pioneer Woman for over a decade. The show, hosted by Ree Drummond, premiered on the Food Network in 2011. The Oklahoma native shares her favorite down-home recipes with the audience.
But is the end near? She made a shocking announcement in a new interview. She’s done with one of the things fans love the most. Keep reading for all the details.
The Pioneer Woman‘s New Cookbook Hits Stores Next Month
The Pioneer Woman continues to air with new recipes on the Food Network. Fans always wonder about the future of the show between episodes. But there hasn’t been an official announcement about the show’s cancellation.
Ree Drummond has expanded far beyond a television cooking show. She’s released several cookbooks, a frozen food line, and a partnership with QVC for a clothing line. She has a new cookbook coming out next month. The Pioneer Woman Cooks: The Essential Recipes comes out on October 28.

Ree Drummond Says She’s Done, Her Next Cookbook Will Be Her Last
Ree Drummond’s new cookbook is her ninth and it was supposed to be her last. “I had decided at a certain point that this would be my final cookbook. I know that sounds sad and crazy, but I feel that I’ve kind of told the stories I want to tell with food, and I’m just going to keep making my favorite things,” she told PEOPLE magazine.
But she still has one more in her. She told the outlet that her tenth cookbook will “definitely” be the last one. She didn’t share any details or a timeline about the release of her final cookbook.
What She’s Focusing On Now
Ree Drummond’s first love has always been her family, followed closely by cooking. She started a YouTube channel with her family earlier this year. The description for Drummond Ranch reads, ““Saddle up and come along for the ride as Paige Drummond moves home to be the first sibling to return to the ranch as an adult, and what a day in the life looks like not just for her, but for her dad Ladd and his brother Tim, Paige’s younger brothers, and the Drummond Ranch cowboys.”
The Food Network star has a “supporting” role in the series.
In a surprising move, Ree Drummond just released a clothing line with QVC. She explained the connection to PEOPLE. “They seem like two categories that don’t have a lot to do with each other, but in my weird little world, they’re very linked,” she said. Ree noted that she gets emails all the time asking about the outfits she wears on the Food Network show.
Do you think Ree Drummond really will stop writing cookbooks after the tenth one?
