Meri Brown Makes Her Feelings About Flagstaff Crystal Clear
Throughout 19 seasons on TLC, the Browns have moved quite often. From Utah to Las Vegas to Flagstaff, they’ve has several homes over the years.
But will Meri Brown miss Flagstaff after returning to Utah?
“Nope. Not at all,” Meri bluntly told PEOPLE in a new interview. “Flagstaff was—it’s beautiful. We all know I love the trees. Watch any season and you’ll know Meri loves the trees. And it’s beautiful. It really is.”
However, the TLC star admitted the city just never felt like home to her. She moved there out of obligation to the family.
“I lived there for three or four years and I never made any friends there,” Meri continued. “It just wasn’t for me. I moved there because the family did. It was not ever on my radar, ‘Oh, Flagstaff, Arizona. We should live there.’”
The Reality Star Wanted To Find Her Own Purpose
Onscreen, viewers have seen Meri Brown discuss her future plans with friends. At this stage in her life, the reality star just wants to find her own way. She’s lived polygamy for so long that she’s still learning how to be an independent adult with interests and hobbies of her own.
“I think it’s really important to find your place, especially in this age that we’re in. We’re all in our 50s, it’s like, ‘Just find your place. Do what makes you happy,’” the TLC star told PEOPLE.
And at the end of the day, Parowan, Utah just seemed like the perfect place for Meri. Her social media followers can already tell she’s much happier there than she ever was in Flagstaff.
“Why keep living in a town where I don’t know anybody, I don’t have friends?” Meri shared, reflecting on her decision to move away. “Kody and I are completely separating. I’m not going to be a part of the family. There’s no point in me being there. And I had a house in Parowan, so let’s do that. And I gave myself two years to just settle and then figure stuff out. We’re coming up on two years.”
