Is Craig Conover A Liar?
Craig Conover has been a staple of Southern Charm since the beginning. He’s got these boy-next-door good looks and is very smart. Craig was in law school when the show started and had very high aspirations for his future. He had close friends and was a part of everything in Charleston but then, he lied and that ruined his credibility. Craig claimed he had taken the bar exam but then confessed that he had not completed law school therefore no bar was taken or passed. Ultimately, he did finish school, he just had to do his thesis and he passed the bar.
He went on to start his own law firm which has been open and closed. Craig went on to start his own pillow company, Sewing Down South. It has done incredibly well and his girlfriend, Paige DeSorbo has been immensely supportive. Unfortunately, he may have lost some fan support due to a lie. Season 10 of Southern Charm just began and Jarrett ‘JT’ Thomas is trying to get back in everyone’s good graces. He was out with Shep Rose and Craig and shared how he gave Patricia Altschul a cane. At Miss Pat’s Easter, Craig dropped a bomb that JT also called her a “b*tch.”
When the clip was replayed, it appeared that did not happen. Craig Conover appeared on WWHL on Thursday, December 12th. Andy Cohen challenged Craig about JT calling Miss Pat a “b*tch” as that seemed to have never happened. Craig maintained it did happen and that cameras were rolling but Andy noted they would have caught it and pointed out his history of lies. A Reddit thread was started to address how Craig blatantly lied about JT. The OP was not a fan of JT but they were shocked Craig lied.
Why The Story?
Southern Charm fans could not understand why Craig Conover felt the need to make up a story about JT. He may not be many people’s favorite person but that did not mean this had to happen. Even Shep Rose stated he never heard JT slam Miss Pat. Viewers immediately weighed in and were happy that Craig’s history of lying was shown:
It is clear that Craig has only hurt himself in this situation and it could have been the last straw for JT hence why he quit. JT left the show before filming ended for Season 10 and now, some of it is tracking. Now, will there be footage by the time the reunion rolls around? That is yet to be seen.
