McBee Dynasty star Steven McBee Sr. began a two-year prison stint earlier this month after pleading guilty to fraud. His son exploded in a shocking video and went on a rant claiming the government is after his whole family.
Steven McBee Explodes, Says Govt Is After His Whole Family Now
While appearing on McBee Dynasty, farmer Steven McBee Sr. was under investigation by the FBI for allegedly falsifying reports about the crops from his family farm. The government claimed the reality star collected millions in benefits from the scheme. The Bravo star pleaded guilty to one count of federal crop insurance fraud in 2024. After several delays, he was sentenced to two years in prison.

The reality star reported to the Federal Prison Camp in Yankton, South Dakota on December 1, 2025, to begin the sentence. Days after his father left, Steven McBee Jr. took to social media with an unhinged rant about how the government is trying to ruin the family and their farm.
In a shocking social media video, Steven McBee Jr. called the government “bullies” who could end his father’s legacy. He revealed that days after his father went to prison, the government began trying to collect restitution. In addition to prison time, Steven McBee Sr. was ordered to repay over $4 million.
The government isn’t messing around. Steven McBee Jr. shared that they began civil action to recoup some of the money. The farmer was livid over the move. He said that the McBee farm was under attack from the government. He added that the farm employs many workers and helps the local economy.
Another member of the McBee family recently called on President Trump for a pardon.

His Father Claims Threats To His Family Led To Guilty Plea
Before his prison sentence began, Steven McBee Sr. joined Todd and Julie Chrisley on their podcast. He shared more details about the investigation and why. The Chrisleys got out of prison earlier this year after President Trump granted them a pardon following fraud convictions.
Steven McBee Sr. claimed that he was “bullied” into pleading guilty to crop fraud. He said that he went to talk with the government during the investigation and they gave him their “best offer” regarding the crop fraud charges.
“You as an individual can plead guilty and, just for clarification, you can plead to one count of giving a fraudulent statement to crop insurance. If you don’t do that as an individual, Steve A. McBee, in turn, we’re going to charge one of my teammates, one of my co-workers, with 27 federal indictments in 48 hours,” Steven McBee Sr. said about the conversation with the feds.

The investigators allegedly told him that they had approached one of his sons, prompting him to take the heat alone. “At the end of the day, the buck stops with me. And I take that accountability and responsibility,” he told the Chrisleys.
Despite his belief that he was “bullied” into pleading guilty, Steven McBee Sr. is determined to ride out his prison sentence and start anew after his release.
