“She fights as though she’s possessed.” Disney+ has revealed an official trailer for an entertaining adventure comedy series called Renegade Nell, created by English TV creator Sally Wainwright, inspired by a true story. Of course. This cracking new series will be streaming on Disney+ worldwide starting at the end of March for everyone to enjoy. A quick-witted and courageous young woman framed for murder unexpectedly becomes the most notorious “highwayman” outlaw in 18th-century England. When a magical spirit called Billy appears, Nell realizes her destiny is bigger than she ever imagined. So – a bit of a superhero story, too? Renegade Nell (formerly The Ballad of Renegade Nell) is a British historical adventure series produced by The Lookout Point. Starring Louisa Harland as Nell Jackson, Joely Richardson, Adrian Lester, Nick Mohammed, Craig Parkinson, Florence Keen, Frank Dillane, Alice Kremelberg, Jake Dunn, and Pip Torrens as Lord Blancheford. This actually looks pretty cool! It reminds me of The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin, but with a whole different spunk. This latest trailer is worth a watch.
