“So close the crimson and clover, all gone now to the edge, where the black begins the long forked tongue hisses.” What does it all mean?! Another freaky teaser!! Neon has revealed one more creepy teaser trailer for Longlegs, set to open in theaters nationwide starting this July. We’ve featured the other cryptic teasers before as well as the incredible first official trailer for this film a few months ago. FBI Agent Lee Harker is assigned to an unsolved serial killer case that takes unexpected turns, revealing eerie evidence of the occult. Harker discovers a personal connection to the killer and must stop him before he strikes again. Longlegs is the latest film from director Oz Perkins (of The Blackcoat’s Daughter, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, Gretel & Hansel). The horror film stars Maika Monroe as Lee Harker, Nicolas Cage, Alicia Witt, Blair Underwood, and Dakota Daulby. There’s not much footage to see in here, but the text and the few shots they do include will make your skin crawl. I cannot wait for this – it’s going to be scary as hell.
Here’s the latest eerie teaser trailer (+ poster) for Oz Perkins’ Longlegs, direct from Neon’s YouTube:

Lee Harker (Maika Monroe), a talented new FBI agent, has been assigned to an unsolved case of a serial killer. As the investigation becomes more complicated and occult evidence is uncovered, Harker realizes a personal link to the ruthless killer and must act quickly to prevent another family murder. Longlegs is both written and directed by American genre filmmaker / writer / actor Oz Perkins (aka Osgood Perkins), director of the horror movie The Blackcoat’s Daughter, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, and Gretel & Hansel previously, plus one episode for the new “The Twilight Zone” series. Produced by Nicolas Cage, Dave Caplan, Chris Ferguson, Dan Kagan, and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. This hasn’t premiered at any festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know – stay tuned for updates. Neon will open Perkins’ Longlegs film in theaters starting July 12th, 2024 in the middle of the summer. Look good so far? How scary does it look?
