“We seem to be stuck, you and me.” Stuck in a pickle? Shudder has unveiled an official trailer for a horror thriller survival movie called Night of the Hunted, the latest film from French horror filmmaker Franck Khalfoun (P2, Wrong Turn at Tahoe, Maniac, Amityville: The Awakening). This is streaming on Shudder in October just in time for Halloween, though it isn’t hitting many other festivals this fall. Not to be confused with the other famous French horror film The Night of the Hunted from 1980. This one is about a sniper. In the dead of night, a remote gas station turns into a battleground of wits and wills. Can one woman outsmart a hidden sniper with a secret vendetta? Camille Rowe stars as Alice, who makes a stop and ends up in a horrifying fight for her life. The small cast includes Aleksandar Popovic, J. John Bieler, Isaiah Reyes. This seems legit scary and quite compelling for a stuck-in-one-place survival thriller. Might be worth a look.
Here’s the official trailer for Franck Khalfoun’s horror Night of the Hunted, direct from YouTube:
When an unsuspecting woman named Alice (Camille Rowe) stops at a remote gas station in the dead of night, she’s made the plaything of a sociopath sniper with a secret vendetta. To survive she must not only dodge his bullets and fight for her life, but also figure out who wants her dead and why. Night of the Hunted is directed by French genre filmmaker Franck Khalfoun, of P2, Wrong Turn at Tahoe, Maniac, I Lived, Prey (2019), and Amityville franchise entry Amityville: The Awakening previously. The screenplay is written by Glen Freyer and Franck Khalfoun. A remake of the original 2015 Spanish film La Noche del Ratón written by Rubén Ávila Calvo and David R.L. It’s produced by Alexandre Aja, Noémie Devide, Morris Ruskin, and Alix Taylor. This initially premiered at the 2023 Fantasy Filmfest in Germany. Shudder debuts Khalfoun’s Night of the Hunted streaming on Shudder starting October 20th, 2023 this fall. Look scary?
