Funny Trailer #2 for Illumination’s Summer Sequel ‘Despicable Me 4’

“Some of you may be wondering why you’re here…” Illumination + Universal have launched a new trailer for the next sequel in their never-ending Minions franchise – Despicable Me 4. This Minions-filled sequel is set to open in July, the usual spot for these movies. In the first Despicable Me movie in seven years, Gru, the world’s favorite supervillain-turned-Anti-Villain League-agent, returns for an exciting, bold new era of Minions mayhem, with an introduction of another new family member – Gru Jr. They face a new nemesis in Maxime Le Mal (voiced by Will Ferrell) + femme fatale girlfriend Valentina (voiced by Sofia Vergara), and the Gru family is forced to go on the run. The voice cast features Steve Carrell back as Gru, plus Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier, Madison Polan. With fresh new characters voiced by Joey King, Stephen Colbert, Chloe Fineman, plus Pierre Coffin as the Minions and Steve Coogan as Silas Ramsbottom. This trailer also introduces us the Mega-Minions who, of course, get into all kinds of trouble trying to help out Gru. As always! This looks like a fun-for-the-whole-family follow-up sequel. Enjoy.

Following the 2022 summer blockbuster phenomenon of Illumination’s Minions: The Rise of Gru, which earned almost $1B worldwide, the biggest global animated franchise in history now begins a new chapter as Gru (Steve Carrell) and Lucy (Kristen Wiig) and their girls —Margo, Edith and Agnes — welcome a new member to the Gru family, Gru Jr., who’s intent on tormenting his dad. It’s co-directed by Patrick Delage. The screenplay is written by Mike White (School of Rock, “White Lotus”) and Ken Daurio. Produced by Illumination’s Christopher Meledandri, and Brett Hoffman. Made by Illumination Animation based in Santa Monica. Universal will debut Illumination’s Despicable Me 4 sequel in theaters everywhere starting on July 3rd, 2024 coming up this summer movie season.
