Halina Reijn’s Thriller ‘Babygirl’ Trailer #2 with Kidman & Dickinson

“I’ve never experienced anything like this…” Spicy. A24 has debuted the second official trailer for the erotic thriller film titled Babygirl, which originally premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival (and it won Best Actress). Babygirl is the latest feature from Dutch filmmaker Halina Reijn, following up her horror comedy Bodies Bodies Bodies recently. Written and directed by Reijn, Babygirl stars Nicole Kidman as a powerful CEO at a major corporation based in New York City. She begins an erotic affair with a hunky new intern who strolls through her company’s doors one day. The two explore an intimate sub-dom relationship as they both come to understand their own sexuality. Babygirl also co-stars Harris Dickinson, Antonio Banderas, Sophie Wilde, and Esther McGregor. This is a very seductive and sizzling trailer just like the first one, but I’m still not the biggest fan of the film. It’s tantalizing but not edgy enough (here’s my review). A smart modern film about our kinks and repressing sexual desires and how we need to learn to explore them more.
