“Legends aren’t made. They’re built.” Let’s brick it up! Disney+ has unveiled an awesome full official trailer for their next fun special titled LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, showrun by the screenwriters behind last year’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. Episodes will start airing in September in one month from. A nerf-herder discovers an artifact that twists the Star Wars galaxy, swapping the roles of heroes & villains. He embarks on an adventure to restore order and emerge as the savior who reassembles the fractured galaxy. “You’re going to see some things that you never thought possible.” This is like Marvel’s What If, but for Star Wars – including Ewok bounty hunters (in X-Wings!), Geonosian Jedi, and, amazingly, Darth Jar Jar voiced by Ahmed Best, along with a Dark Falcon, and much more. So many crazy things in this footage! The talented voice cast features Gaten Matarazzo, Tony Revolori, Bobby Moynihan, Marsai Martin, Michael Cusack, & Mark Hamill back as Luke Skywalker. This trailer absolutely rocks! I’m glad they’re letting loose messing with some totally bonkers ideas, curious to see how this all turns out.

LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy is a “four-piece” animated special. The entire Star Wars galaxy gets completely mixed up when an ordinary nerf-herder, Sig Greebling (voiced by Gaten Matarazzo), unearths a powerful artifact called the Cornerstone found within a hidden Jedi temple. He finds himself thrust into adventure in a new, wondrously wild and twisted version of the galaxy where good guys are bad, bad guys are good, and the fate of all depends on Sig becoming the hero who can help put all the pieces back together. LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy is a 4-episode one-off Star Wars Special executive produced by and showrun by animation filmmakers Dan Hernandez & Benji Samit both writers of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, The Addams Family 2, “Koala Man”, “Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion”, and “Koala Man”. Featuring episodes directed by Chris Buckley. Produced by Daniel Cavey & Dan Langlois. Executive produced by Hernandez & Samit, James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, Josh Rimes, Jill Wilfert, Jason Cosler, and Keith Malone.
