“You deployed undercover for years… people come back damaged from that!” Showtime has revealed the full official trailer for a dark clandestine thriller series called The Agency, another undercover agent series about the dangerous world of secret operations and undercover agents. This stars Michael Fassbender as the agent at the center of the story, which makes this feel like a continuation of Fincher’s The Killer movie, especially with such a similar title. Based on the French series The Bureau (2015), and created by writers Jez & John-Henry Butterwort, The Agency is an espionage thriller set within the department responsible for training and handling deep-cover agents on long-term missions who live under false identities for years, trying to identify & recruit intelligence sources. Martian (Fassbender) is ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station. When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites. His career, his real identity and his mission are pitted against his heart; hurling them both right into a deadly game. The impressive series cast includes Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Katherine Waterston, John Magaro, Alex Reznik, Andrew Brooke, Harriet Sansom Harris, India Fowler, Saura Lightfoot-Leon, Reza Brojerdi, and Richard Gere. Ready for streaming this November if anyone wants to watch.
