“You are welcome to use any weapons you find.” Paramount Global Content has unveiled an official trailer for a trashy action movie called The Last Gunfight, the latest creation from stuntman-turned-filmmaker James Bamford. This looks like it should be avoided like most of his movies. He also stole the title from the classic 1960 Japanese film The Last Gunfight which starred Toshiro Mifune. However, in this new movie – in a ruthless underground tournament, the world’s top assassins battle in a fight to the death. But hidden among them is a rogue crew with its own deadly agenda: infiltrate the competition, survive the bloodbath, and take down the mastermind pulling the strings. “It’s for revenge, and a fortune worth killing for.” What an original idea… The Last Gunfight features Jon Voight, Adam Woodward, Charlotte Vega, Eloise Lovell Anderson, Daniel Bernhardt, Brock Pierce, Shaina West, and Skyler Shaye. Why are they fighting in the middle of some random street that is clearly an empty set? This looks absolutely awful – the most abysmal junk that no one should be wasting their time on. Even the action seems bad. Just stay away.
Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for James Bamford’s action movie The Last Gunfight, from YouTube:
“Competitors get ready…” In a ruthless underground tournament, the world’s top assassins compete in a violent fight to the death. But hidden among them is a rogue crew with its own deadly agenda: infiltrate the competition, survive the bloodbath, take down the mastermind pulling the strings. As alliances shift and the bodies pile up, the real battle isn’t just for survival – it’s for revenge, and a fortune worth killing for. The Last Gunfight is directed by the Canadian stuntman / filmmaker James Bamford, who also works as a stunt coordinator, and also directed the films Hard Home, Air Force One Down, High Ground, and Jade previously, plus extensive work directing for the “Arrow” series. The screenplay is written by J.D. Zeik, from a story by Steven Paul. Produced by Steven Paul. Paramount Global Content will debut Bamford’s The Last Gunfight direct-to-VOD starting on May 27th, 2025 coming up. Anyone want to watch this? Or not?
