“To the Harvest!” The Horror Collective has revealed the trailer for an indie horror titled Silence of the Prey, an unsettling feature about a cannibalistic cult. This is set to launch on VOD this May after playing a few festivals. In a desperate bid to secure a future for her child, an undocumented immigrant mother takes a caretaker job. Unbeknownst to her, the elderly man conceals a horrifying truth… Producers Monte Bezell & Den Tolmor explain: “Our film encapsulates the harrowing vanishing of thousands, shrouding the boundary between the enigmatic and the inconceivable. It stands as a chilling homage to the terrors that reverberate within the void of the absent, an uncompromising, spine-tingling saga that compels us to confront the abyss lurking amidst our midst.” The film stars Monte Bezell, Michael Doyle, Lorianna Izrailova, Karyna Kudzina, Chris LaPanta, Rebecca Packer. In a desperate bid to secure a future for her child, an undocumented immigrant mother known as Mary (Lorianna Izrailova) takes a caretaker job. Unbeknownst to her, the elderly man conceals a horrifying truth – she’s the next item on the menu. Silence of the Prey is co-directed by indie genre filmmakers Karyna Kudzina & Michael Vaynberg (aka ‘Mikhail’ Michael Vaynberg – director of Thriller’s Family, “Doktor Martov”, “Test na Beremennost”), making their first feature film together. The screenplay is co-written by Karyna Kudzina & Saro Varjabedian. Produced by Monte Bezell, Karina Bezell, and Den Tolmor. This indie horror initially premiered at the 2024 Golden State Film Festival earlier this year. The Horror Collective will debut Silence of the Prey direct-to-VOD starting May 14th, 2024 coming soon.
