“You can’t stop this. It’s too big.” Sony Pictures has revealed an official trailer for an action thriller sequel titled One More Shot, which will be out direct-to-video (and on VOD) in a few weeks. This action-packed high-octane thriller continues right where One Shot left off – it’s a sequel to that one-long-take movie, using that same real time action gimmick all over again. Following the attack on the black site in Poland, Navy SEAL Jake Harris is ordered to escort terrorist suspect Amin Mansur to Washington D.C for interrogation. As they’re chased through the airport terminal by ruthless terrorists, Harris will have to use all his battle-honed skills to survive. Scott Adkins returns to star as Harris; he’s joined by Michael Jai White, Tom Berenger, Meena Rayann, and Alexis Knapp. This trailer doesn’t confirm if it actually is one-long-take again, but the countdown time seems to indicate they’re aiming for the “real time” editing trick again. The rest of it looks so cheesy and generic, the same boring action you’ve seen in 100 other movies before already.
Here’s the official trailer (+ poster art) for James Nunn’s One More Shot, direct from YouTube:
Following the attack on the black site in Poland, Navy SEAL Jake Harris is ordered to escort the terrorist suspect Amin Mansur to Washington D.C. for interrogation. Waiting for them Stateside is the veteran CIA task force officer Mike Marshall. He plans to use Mansur’s pregnant wife, Niesha, as leverage, forcing the suspect to reveal the location of the dirty bomb that’s somewhere in the city. Before the prisoner transfer process is complete, though, the airport is attacked by a group of heavily armed, well-trained mercenaries led by Robert Jackson. As they’re chased through the airport terminal by ruthless terrorists, Harris will have to use all his battle-honed skills to survive. One More Shot is directed by the action filmmaker James Nunn, a former assistant director, and director of the action films Tower Block, Green Street 3: Never Back Down, Eliminators, The Marine 5, The Marine 6: Close Quarters, and the first One Shot (2021) previously. The screenplay is written by Jamie Russell, from a story by James Nunn. Produced by Ben Jacques. Sony will release Nunn’s One More Shot direct-to-VOD starting on January 16th, 2024 this month.
