“There’s not a chance in hell this guy would make it through the night.” Lionsgate has revealed an official trailer for a junk action thriller called Clear Cut, formerly known as Cold Deck. The title is a wildfire term for cutting down trees so they don’t burn and spread the fire even further. A team of loggers discover a meth cook site in the middle of the forest and are forced to fight for their lives while hunted by a drug cartel. Set in the woods in the Pacific Northwest, a man crosses paths with a criminal band of madmen from his past intent on killing him before he can fight his way back to civilization. With Clive Standen, Lucy Martin, Jesse Metcalfe, Tom Welling, Lochlyn Munro, Chelsey Reist, Tom Stevens, Mike Dopud, plus Stephen Dorff and Alec Baldwin. This looks absolutely awful – bad performances, bad CGI (all the fire looks so bad), and a derivative plot that will make anyone roll their eyes. Stay away from this kind of crap.

The screenplay is written by Joe Perruccio. Produced by Corey Large. Lionsgate will debut Clear Cut in select US theaters + on VOD starting July 19th, 2024 this summer.
