“Welcome to The Pitt. Let’s go save some lies.” Max has unveiled the first teaser trailer for a new hospital drama series called The Pitt, titled such because it is set at a hospital in Pittsburgh. The 15-episode Max Original drama series The Pitt, by John Wells Productions & Warner Bros TV, created by R. Scott Gemmill and starring Noah Wyle, debuts in January 2025 for streaming on Max. The Pitt is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The full cast features Noah Wyle (Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch), Tracey Ifeachor (Dr. Collins), Patrick Marron Ball (Dr. Langdon), Supriya Ganesh (Dr. Mohan), Fiona Dourif (Dr. McKay), Taylor Dearden (Dr King), Isa Briones (Dr Santos), Gerran Howell (Whitaker), Shabana Azeez (Javadi), & Katherine LaNasa (Dana Evans). This seems like a brand new “ER” clone in every way (which apparently they are being sued over anyway). Have a look.

The Pitt is a series created by WB TV. A co-production with Sky Studios, produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, where JWP is under an overall deal. Featuring episodes directed by Amanda Marsalis. Final writing and directing credits are not available yet. R. Scott Gemmill (veteran writer on “Jag”, “ER”, “NCIS: Los Angeles”) wrote the first episode and also executive produces the series alongside Noah Wyle, John Wells, and JWP’s Erin Jontow, Simran Baidwan, and Michael Hissrich. Max will debut The Pitt hospital series streaming on Max starting January 2025 early next year. Who else watched “ER” back in the day? Anyone want to see this?
