“This is our chance… to show ’em who’s boss!” Prime Video has unveiled an official trailer for a new comedy crime / heist thriller series called The Sticky, which will be streaming starting in December later this year. It’s inspired by the true story known as the “Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist” – which really happened in 2011 & 2012. Officially, according to the numbers, it is the “most valuable heist in Canadian history!” How dare anyone steal that precious liquid gold. “Mayhem, murder, and maple syrup.” The Sticky is a comedy-drama series about Ruth Landry, a maple syrup farmer who, in defiance of a heartless system, assembles a team of misfits to undertake the Canadian heist of the century. The target: the country’s multi-million dollar maple syrup surplus. The acclaimed Margo Martindale stars as Ruth in this, with a series cast featuring Chris Diamantopoulos, Guillaume Cyr, Guy Nadon, Gita Miller, Mickaël Gouin, and Suzanne Clément. Oscar & Emmy winner Jamie Lee Curtis also appears as a guest star in the series (and in this trailer). Extra kooky with crime antics bouncing between Fargo to Super Troopers. This might be hilarious.
