Netflix is loading up on horror for Halloween, with Evil Dead, The Strangers, and the first three Psycho movies joining its U.S. library on October 1.
The newly revealed October lineup covers everything from slashers and supernatural nightmares to creature features and horror comedies. There’s even a five-movie Twilight marathon waiting for anyone who prefers their vampires with a little romantic drama.
One of the biggest highlights is Fede Álvarez’s Evil Dead (2013), which sends Jane Levy (Don’t Breathe) through an absolutely relentless nightmare of possession, mutilation, and blood-soaked survival. It’s a hell of a way to kick off your October viewing.
You can also double up on M. Night Shyamalan with The Sixth Sense and Split, revisit the home-invasion terror of Hush and The Strangers, or spend an evening at the Bates Motel with Psycho, Psycho II, and Psycho III.
Later in the month, The Boogeyman arrives October 5, followed by Pride and Prejudice and Zombies on October 6 and Cocaine Bear on October 14.
