What happened in One Piece Chapter 1142?

Chapter 1142 of the One Piece manga focuses on the first steps the Holy Knights take to get Elbaph under their control. The chapter begins with the island’s Walrus School facing an attack by Jormungandr, the sea serpent.

Following the attack, Kiba, Walrus School’s principal, and Saul rush to the scene and defeat the serpent. However, students are already exiting the premises and are sleep-walking to the island’s beach, as Gunko is controlling them.

On the other hand, in the Dead Realm, Loki warns Luffy and Zoro to remove his cuff. However, he further asserts that he holds enough strength to destroy Elbaph Island without utilizing his Devil fruit. Loki then hits the Adam Tree with his Ragnir, which causes lightning to fall on it.

Fans also witness drawings of Loki, Black Nika, and the dragon (unspecified if it is a real dragon or Monkey D Dragon) to move because of the power of the Holy Knights.
