Dark Siren Hair Is Trending for Fall 2026

It comes as no surprise that chocolate brown has been the winning color for fall. All season long, warm shades of mocha came for our wardrobes, makeup, manicures, and now our hair care, too.

Stars are debuting darker tresses left and right; Hailey Bieber led the trend, recently darkening her signature strands into “her darkest hair shade” yet.

Also called the “dark siren trend,” nearly-black shades of deep brown hair are trending on socials. Chocolate hues easily create rich and glossy effects without feeling harsh or fake, and let’s just say it’s giving us major hair inspo.

If Bieber’s dramatic dye job is inspiring you too, we have good news—there’s no need for an expensive salon appointment or dreaded box-dye. Instead, welcome to the future, where getting a hair refresh is as easy as a single at-home-step thanks to the growing popularity of color-depositing hair gloss products.

If you already have dark hair that needs a refresh, or simply want to test-run the espresso trend before committing in the salon, then an at-home color-depositing mask, gloss, or conditioner offers a low commitment way to refresh your tone at home.
