David Beckham‘s former assistant Rebecca Loos isn’t backing down on those affair allegations!
Rebecca worked for the soccer star back in 2003 in Madrid, Spain, when he started playing for Real Madrid. After she was fired, she told News of the World in April 2004 that she had a four-month-long affair with the athlete, who was already married to Victoria Beckham and shared two kids with her at that point (they now share four kids in total).

He denied it at the time and again in the couple’s Netflix docuseries Beckham in 2023. While they didn’t directly address the ex-assistant by name, the Spice Girls alum said the move to Real Madrid was “the most unhappy I’ve ever been in my entire life,” noting that “the world was against us” and they “were against each other.” For his part, David shared:
“There was some horrible stories that were difficult to deal with. It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage. Every time that we woke up we felt that there was something else. I think we both felt at the time that we were, not losing each other, but drowning.”
Unfortunately for them, that wasn’t the last time they’d have to deal with the messy past because Rebecca has just doubled down on the allegation!
In a new interview with 60 Minutes Australia out on Sunday, the former Dutch model insisted she “stuck to the truth” after opening up about the alleged affair. She praised herself for speaking out, saying:
“In my opinion, it was a very brave thing to do to go up against them. I have stuck to the truth. I’ve never exaggerated. I never lied about a single thing.”
She continued:
“Why? Because I’m going up against the strongest, most powerful couple in the media who have all the money in the world for the best PR, the best lawyers. And all I had on my side was the truth.”
The 47-year-old recalled her time working for the celeb, noting that in her role as a personal assistant, she was the “first person they see in the morning and the last person they see in the evening.”
Reiterating her prior claims, she said Posh Spice was out of town when David allegedly invited her to a hotel and she “gave in.” Rebecca also alleged she caught him hooking up with someone else — while she was on the phone with his wife! She reflected:
“I fell hook, line and sinker for every single cliche line he fed me. And then two weeks later we were at Ronaldo [Nazário]’s birthday party and he’s off with this beautiful model. And I was like, ‘Uh.’ That was a hard night for me. I was like, ‘Uh, I don’t understand.’ And realizations started to hit that I’d been massively played.”
Oof. She said she spoke out publicly at the time after claims of an affair hit the British media because she “always had the opinion [that] it’s better that it comes from me and I have some sort of control.” But she also wanted to get back at him a bit:
“I kind of felt the way he treated me was very unfair — what he was getting away with. That two-faced life. I felt that I know how much his image means to him. I just kind of wanted to make him feel some pain too. It sounds very vindictive to say, but when you’re 26 years old, it’s how you react to heartache and pain.”
She remembered being “pissed off” that David denied her allegations while adding that she saw “loads of horrible stories” about herself and Victoria at the time, but “never” any about David, arguing that “nothing changed in his life.” She continued:
“I think all of that impacted my mental health in a way that it was quite traumatic but I didn’t admit to it being traumatic because I wanted to be brave and strong. But some of it seeped through and got to me and that has taken time to recover from.”
She ultimately changed careers and is now a certified yoga and meditation teacher. The TV show also said she’s a medical assistant. Rebecca, who is now married with two teenage sons, wants her kids “to know that their mother was brave enough to stand up against them and to stand up for the truth.”
