Keep reading to find out more about this situation.
Lola Bonfiglio Has Not Normal American Idol Audition
Lola Bonfiglio auditioned for American Idol recently. Usually, when a contestant auditions, they come in, sing, and then get feedback from the judges. However, Lola had an audition that was a little different from this. Her mother, aunt, and dad ended up coming in the room. Her mother is Carnie Wilson, and her aunt is Wendy Wilson. The two were in the famous band Wilson Phillips. Her father, Rob Bonfiglio ended up coming in the room as well to play the guitar for them. They sang a hit Wilson Phillips song. The judges loved the performance. However, Lola ended up singing “Rainbow” by Kasey Musgraves for her actual audition where she was sent through to the next round.

Carnie Wilson Defends Daughter After Troll Comments
Fans were not happy with Lola Bonfiglio’s audition. However, her mother, Carnie Wilson, has defended her daughter on social media.
“She did great. I’m so proud of her. And they asked us to sing, so we came and crashed the party. We love singing with her, and she sings with us on tour sometimes. She’s a really inspiring artist. We’re human, and the internet is so cruel, and the comments are really pissing me off, and I can’t respond. Would you encourage a doctor’s son not to be a doctor? Lola wants to be a singer, and they say these terrible things. And she was so hurt. I encourage her to do it because she loves to sing. But I’m so proud of her that she was even brave enough to audition. She sounds so beautiful. I’m so excited for her future. She has a stunning voice.”
It sounds like the negative comments are really affecting Lola. However, the trolls online do not care and will voice their opinions. Carnie does not want this happening anymore and has made it clear that she is super proud of her daughter.
It seems as though Carnie is not having it with the haters. She does not want them to talk badly about her daughter. Lola ended up making it through the auditions and making it to Hollywood. This is what everyone who auditions wants. However, some fans wonder if she only made it through due to her mother and aunt being in a famous band. Carnie was quick to come to her daughter’s defense online. However, people are going to say what they want to say, and Carnie is not going to stop them. What do you think? Did you like the audition? Sound off in the comments below. We would love to hear your thoughts on this situation.
