World War III Creep by Howard Bloom

World War III Creep by Howard Bloom

On Wednesday June 12th something frightening happened.

The Russian Northern Fleet naval group completed “precision missile weapons” drills East of the Florida Keys, within easy nuclear missile distance of the United States.  Then the four ships of mass destruction sailed to Cuba, only 106 miles from the beaches of Florida, anchored at Havana Harbor and were greeted by a 21-gun salute, a smattering of Cuban celebrants, the occasional Russian flag, and a handful of Russian tourists.

The naval group included the Admiral Gorshkov Frigate, the Akademik Pashin medium tanker, the Nikolay Chiker rescue tugboat and, most ominously, the Kazan nuclear submarine.

If you are an American, this was a frightening sight.  The Russian Northern Fleet was equipped with Zircon hypersonic missiles built to travel at 7,000 miles an hour, to reach out 625 miles, to evade American defenses, and to nuke cities like New York, Washington, Houston, and Los Angeles.

But this was only one move in a far, far bigger chess game.  A chess game that spans the globe.

A day before the Russian naval group reached Cuba, Nikkei Asia, a leading Japanese newspaper, carried the headline: “China-Russia-Iran-North Korea axis heightens the risk of WWIII.”  The subtitle explained that “simultaneous conflicts in Europe and Asia could become tomorrow’s nightmare.”

Alarmist as this headline sounded, it did not go far enough.  The military alliance Nikkeiwas referring to is what on my weekly radio broadcasts for the last three years I’ve called The Axis of Evil.  And Nikkei Asia was correct.

At the Axis of Evil’s core are China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea.  But that’s not all.  The Axis of Evil also includes Syria, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.

In fact, Venezuela is reportedly sending one of its military ships to Cuba from June 15 to June 19th.  And the Russian warships may make a stop in Venezuela before they head back across the Atlantic.

But here’s the real threat.

When Nikkei Asia warns of the danger of “simultaneous conflicts in Europe and Asia,”  it understates just how widespread the current war with the Axis of Evil is.  Yes, it understates.

In the Middle East, Axis of Evil proxies Hamas and Hezbollah are working hard to eradicate Israel, the only democratic, western state in the Middle East.

If Hamas and Hezbollah succeed in crippling Israel, Iran, their Axis of Evil puppet master, is convinced that all of Western civilization will fall.

In Africa, Russia has helped mount coups and pull off influence operations that have brought roughly eleven African countries into Moscow’s sphere of influence.

And in South America, Venezuela has claimed the oil-rich territory of its neighbor, Guyana.  If Russia wins in Ukraine or if Hamas wins in Gaza, there is a good chance that Venezuela will take the opportunity to invade.

Meanwhile the Axis of Evil is using the BRIC alliance, the economic alliance between Brazil, Russia, India, and China, to win over more than 134 countries of the Global South to the Axis of Evil’s side.

And China is cementing its grip on the 1.35 million square mile South China Sea, pickpocketing that sea from the seven other countries who have legitimate claims to it.

Meanwhile in Ukraine, Russia has started winning territory thanks to a six-month delay of weapons shipments imposed by one of our political parties.

What’s more, Russian TV commentators are aware that one of our two presidential candidates would hand Ukraine over to Vladimir Putin in the blink of an eye.  The Russian television personalities call that American candidate “our Trumpushka” and “Donald Fredovych.” As in “Donald, son of Fred.”

The Russians say this former president is “sorely missed” and that Russia is “ready to elect you again.”

Handing over Ukraine would prove that global leadership no longer belongs to America.  It belongs to the Axis of Evil.
