The pod person’s identity is finally revealed, and this will lead to EJ’s most diabolical plan yet.
While he’s using what he’s doing to trap Paulina in a no-win situation (or try to, anyway), could Rolf be the unlikely hero in Stephanie’s kidnapping story?
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 3-09-26 suggest she may be rescued soon, and the soap already laid the groundwork for Rolf to be involved in her rescue.

EJ Blackmails Paulina, But She’d Be Wise Not To Give In
EJ revealed to Paulina on Friday that Lexie DiMera Carver was in the pod and almost ready to be resurrected, and that’s going to open a can of worms.
From EJ’s perspective, this is a diabolical plan.
Now that Paulina knows, she has to decide whether to continue opposing the secret project.
EJ threatens her relationship with Abe, suggesting that if it gets out that she stopped Lexie from being resurrected, Abe and Theo will never forgive her.

Of course, this plan assumes that Paulina will keep Lexie’s existence to herself until EJ is ready to spring her on Abe and Theo.
Paulina could tell Abe what she knows and ask for his input on what she should do.
That would take the wind out of EJ’s sails, but it’s likely too mature for Days of Our Lives.

Even strong, take-no-BS women like Paulina or Kate fall into the blackmail trap with surprising ease in Salem.
And from Paulina’s perspective, whatever she does might lose her Abe.

If she lets the project go forward, Abe might reconcile with Lexie when she reappears.
If she doesn’t, he might blame Paulina for not being able to reunite with his wife and reject her anyway.
I’m Not Sure EJ Has Thought This Through
For one thing, he’s supposed to be plotting with Abe to keep Theo away from the CEO position at DiMera Enterprises, and resurrecting Lexie likely undermines that goal.
If Theo finds out his mother is alive and that the DiMeras resurrected her, he might become even more loyal to them — and Lexie might encourage that.

A lot also depends on how much Lexie remembers about her life — and her identity.
Historically, Rolf’s resurrection drug has caused people to awaken with amnesia, breaking the hearts of their loved ones all over again, so there is no guarantee that Lexie even remembers Abe or Theo.
She should be removed from Rolf’s custody as soon as possible before he can brainwash her into being overly loyal to the DiMeras or messing with Paulina, though.
Do you like this Lexie story, or is it one resurrection too many?

I’d also like to hear an explanation for how Rolf managed this.
In the past, he was only able to resurrect people if there was still a spark of life left in them, and Lexie died in 2012.

These resurrection stories never follow consistent rules — Rolf can do it when the story demands it, and cannot when the character needs to stay dead.
Still, there needs to be some sort of explanation on-screen since this resurrection breaks all the rules yet again.
Whatever the story is, it is likely to be short-term, as actress Nikki Crawford has already said Lexie is only in Salem for about five months. That means Abe and Paulina are probably endgame, unless Abe leaves town with Lexie, and EJ is wasting his time with this blackmail scheme.
Meanwhile, Could This Finally Be The End Of The Kidnapping Storyline?
Owen has made more than enough delusional moves, so Stephanie’s rescue will be a welcome relief.

Of course, before we get there, there will be an obligatory intimate scene between Stephanie and Jeremy.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 3-09-26 say that Jeremy and Stephanie will embrace after they free themselves, and a promo clip shows them kissing.
This is entirely unsurprising. Every Days of Our Lives kidnapping story ends up with hostages either having sex or coming close to it.
From what I’ve read, Jeremy is leaving at the end of April, so Stephanie will probably stick with Alex in the end, but not until there’s a lot of angst and indecision about which guy she should choose.
Fortunately, Steve and Jada are finally waking up to the fact that Jeremy is not the kidnapper, so that won’t continue to be an obstacle.

I am curious about future Days of Our Lives spoilers, though, which suggest that Joy will return (probably with Alex’s baby in tow!) around the same time that Jeremy exits — will she be the next source of angst for Stephanie and Alex?
Meanwhile, Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 3-09-26 suggest Rolf might be the one to discover Stephanie and Jeremy and save the day, making him a more morally gray character than he has ever been.
