Fathom Events is hosting two nights of theatrical screenings at the end of July for this movie before it heads to VOD to watch. Get ready to experience the most magical movie of the summer! Actress Tami Stronach, the iconic “Childlike Empress” in The NeverEnding Story (1984), makes her long-awaited return to the big screen in the new fantasy film Man and Witch: The Dance of a Thousand Steps. When a lonely goatherd discovers that he has been cursed at birth to never take a wife, he makes a bargain with a reclusive witch to reverse the spell, only to find that if he can’t complete her three impossible tasks, he will never find true love. The ensemble cast features Sean Astin, Christopher Lloyd, Eddie Izzard, Jennifer Saunders, Bill Bailey, Martha West, Stuart Bowman, Michael Emerson, Shoreh Aghdashloo, and Greg Steinbruner. The trio of talking animals look like the best part about it.

Man and Witch: The Dance of a Thousand Steps is directed by Scottish filmmaker Michael Hines, making his feature directorial debut after directing various TV series including “Olga Da Polga” and “Dog Squad” previously. The screenplay is written by Greg Steinbruner. Produced by Tami Stronach, Greg Steinbruner, Angela Murray. Fathom Events will host a special screening event of Man and Witch in theaters nationwide on July 28th & 30th, 2024 this summer (tickets here), before it’s available on VOD to watch at home.
