Maison Margiela x Gentle Monster give eyewear a deconstructed twist
Maison Margiela and Gentle Monster are seeing eyewear through a different lens. Reuniting for their fourth collaboration, the two brands are taking deconstruction quite literally with styles that are anything but ordinary. Think oversized sunglasses, seemingly crushed frames and sleek, upswept silhouettes wrapped in leather. Naturally, Margiela’s signature four white stitches make an appearance, adding the house’s unmistakable touch.
This drop also comes with a cinematic twist, courtesy of director Alex Prager, whose short film follows a woman navigating a surreal, fast-paced city adventure. To mark the occasion, the brands are bringing their unconventional vision to life with pop-up spaces in eight cities, including Paris, Seoul and Tokyo. Sadly, none in Canada.
ALDO and Zuhair Murad are bringing glam to your closet
Red-carpet glamour is getting a more accessible makeover. Canadian footwear brand ALDO has teamed up with Lebanese couturier Zuhair Murad, whose designs have dressed everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Zendaya, for an exclusive accessories collection. The capsule features platform sandals with sculptural heels, pointed-toe slingbacks and evening bags adorned with statement hardware. Glitter finishes, metallic gold and snakeskin-inspired textures bring a touch of Murad’s signature glamour, while pearl-detailed jewellery and star-inspired eyewear round out the collection. Whether it’s a holiday party or a special occasion, this collaboration brings a little couture-inspired drama to the dress code.

Giorgio Armani brings a taste of Italian luxury to Vancouver
Retail therapy, with a side of espresso? Yes, please. Giorgio Armani is bringing a little la dolce vita to Vancouver with a new boutique at Oakridge Park. Inside, it’s all Italian sophistication, with ready-to-wear, accessories, fine jewellery, fragrances and made-to-measure tailoring served up against a backdrop of marble-inspired finishes and muted tones. But the real plot twist? An Armani/Caffè is opening in November, meaning you can follow up a serious shopping session with an espresso, a pastry or a well-earned cocktail. Because nothing pairs better with a new designer purchase than an Aperol spritz.
Silver Jeans is making denim fancy for the holidays
Who says denim can’t be festive? Winnipeg’s very own Silver Jeans is giving everyday staples a holiday-ready refresh with its Holiday 2026 collection. Think deep indigo washes, low-slung silhouettes and playful details like rhinestones and coated finishes. Standouts include the loose & low jeans, a relaxed take on the classic straight leg, and the new sage wide leg, which embraces the baggy, low-rise trend. Trouser-inspired fits add a more polished touch, while darker washes and relaxed silhouettes update the men’s lineup. Whether you’re dressing up for a holiday gathering or keeping things casual, there’s plenty of room for denim in the festive wardrobe.
