Jimmy Kimmel’s reaction to being called ‘loser’ and ‘crooked’
Jimmy Kimmel fired back at Donald Trump after the president called him a “loser” during a recent rally. Trump targeted Kimmel for pointing out empty seats at one of his events. The president told the crowd that Kimmel was a “loser” and called him “crooked.”
Trump mimicked Kimmel at the rally and claimed his events were packed. He insisted that thousands of people could not get into the arena. Trump added that people like Kimmel are “crooked people” and “losers” for questioning his rally attendance.
Kimmel responded on his show by doubling down on his original comments. He said, “Of all the things I said about him last week, of all the many moronic and criminal words and deeds I detailed, that’s what bothers him?” Kimmel then repeated that there were “many empty seats at the rally.”
The host also mocked Trump’s explanation for the empty seats. Trump claimed his supporters moved to the front because they love him. Kimmel compared this to a Lakers game, noting fans never just move to the front there. He then showed a photo of a half-empty rally in Alabama.
Kimmel quipped that the rally was “not at full capacity,” comparing it to Trump’s cognitive function. The feud between the two has escalated over several years. Kimmel previously read Trump’s Truth Social post while hosting the 2024 Oscars.
Trump later called Kimmel a “dope” and “one of the dumbest human beings ever.” Kimmel has said he enjoys provoking Trump and described him as someone who “seems like a comic-book villain.” He added that he now sees his show as “a place to scream.”
