What Happens to Franck, Leo & Ben?

Curious whether Franck, Leo, or Ben survive the intense ending of Ad Vitam? The French thriller’s ending features a deadly showdown with armed men, leaving the fate of its central characters hanging in the balance.

Here’s a breakdown of what happens to Franck, Leo, and Ben, and how the revelations and confrontations shape the film’s conclusion.

Do Frank, Leo or Ben die at the end of Ad Vitam?

Franck, Leo, and Ben all survive by the end of Ad Vitam. After a violent confrontation with Vanaken and his men in Rambouillet Forest, Franck and Ben manage to rescue Leo and escape. However, during the escape, Leo sustains a gunshot wound, forcing Franck to prioritize getting her to a hospital.

Franck makes a critical decision to distract Vanaken’s team, allowing Ben to take Leo to safety. After a high-stakes chase across various locations, including Versailles, Franck successfully avoids capture until he reaches the hospital. There, he faces Vanaken one last time before GIGN officers arrest him. Despite the police capturing Franck, he ensures that Leo receives medical attention just in time to save her life and their unborn child.

Leo gives birth to a healthy baby girl and frequently visits Franck in prison. Meanwhile, she secretly holds the key to the safe containing crucial evidence that Franck hid before his arrest. She uses this evidence to exonerate Franck and expose the government’s criminal activities, including the involvement of intelligence agents in her kidnapping and Nico’s death.

Ben, who suffered injuries during the final confrontation, also survives. He assists Franck throughout the movie and remains a vital ally in exposing the truth. By the film’s conclusion, Franck is released from prison, reuniting with Leo and their daughter as the government conspiracy unravels publicly.

The ending of Ad Vitam hints at future challenges for Franck and his family. Despite achieving justice, the scandal implicates high-ranking officials, suggesting Franck could face further threats. The film closes with a sense of resolution but opens the possibility of a sequel exploring lingering dangers and political fallout.
