Following the viral moment, Cruz took to her social media to reveal that her actions with the singer at the gig led to a split between her and her husband of a decade. She went on to explain that he had gotten “carried away by nerves and emotion, without considering how this could affect my family.” Though she has become “overcome with deep sadness,” she fully respects her ex’s decision to divorce.
Cruz continued, revealing that he is “happy” for “having achieved this long-awaited dream, one that I imagined for years,” and explained that she is a massive fan of Santos, saying: “For me, it’s not just about admiring the artist, but also about valuing the great human being that he is.
