Someone important is weighing in on all the Sydney Sweeney rumors! Glen Powell’s MOM!
The Anyone But You co-stars reignited romance rumors over the weekend after being spotted together in Dallas. Turns out they were there for Glen’s sister’s wedding. Two hotties with a complicated backstory reuniting for a sister’s wedding? Turns out their movie was closer to reality than anyone would have thought at the time! Ha!
We now know the Euphoria star is fully single — not just calling off her wedding but ending things completely with her longtime boyfriend Jonathan Davino. So naturally the timing of her and Glen’s reunion has been under a giant microscope. Are they friends?? Are they going to get together?? Are they picking up where everybody thought they left off during the Anyone But You promo tour?? Well, the Twisters star’s momma is chiming in…

On Monday, Cyndy Powell spilled to DailyMail.com:
“They’re definitely not together.”
Oof. Sorry, wishful thinkers!
She noted Sydney attended daughter Leslie Powell’s wedding “with her friend” as she’s “really close friends” with the entire Powell family. Cyndy actually went on to call the romance rumors with Glen “silly,” adding:
“We love Sydney. We’ve considered her just a really, really good friend. We all were together so much, and we haven’t seen her in a long time. She’s really a friend and we all enjoy her.”
That’s so sweet! No wonder why she was at the wedding!
The protective momma firmly noted there’s “nothing going on behind closed doors”… right now, anyway. Because while gushing about her son and his friendship, she also may have slipped, saying:
“He’s the kindest person and he is so others-oriented. He loves his family, he loves his friends. And Sydney is a friend. They’ve been friends for so long. They’ve known each other for so long and they’ve both been single and together and with other people.”
Hold up — they’ve been “single” AND “together” AND “with other people”?! We knew of the first and the last, but not the middle one… Did she just accidentally let slip they HAVE been “together” in the past?!
If the affair on the set of Anyone But You was real, albeit short-lived, that would explain A LOT. We’ve heard Jonathan got jealous. We KNOW Gigi Paris broke up with him after visiting that set. Huh.
Cyndy’s next comment was really inneresting — as she implied they COULD get together whenever they want! Huh! She said:
“They could have made anything happen that they wanted to at any point. But he’s got so many friends that care about him and he cares about, and he’s got a really nice group of friends that they kind of take care of each other. It’s really nice.”

But ultimately Cyndy hilariously topped off her talk on the romance rumors with:
“That is none of my business. I just want what’s best for everybody. I just want somebody that loves him unconditionally and he loves unconditionally, and they take care of each other and live happily ever after.”
SO mom coded! LOLz!
As for if she thinks her son will ever become a “family man,” she told the outlet:
“He’s too busy right now. But he’s a family man. He wants a family and he wants his happily ever after. It’s just not right now.”
Sounds like someone else we know. Sydney also backed out of her wedding because she’s too busy with her career. They really are exactly the same, aren’t they?
