RHOBH star, Kathy Hilton is sharing a huge life update on her sister, Kim Richards amid all of her struggles. She recently relapsed and got into a lot of hot water with her family. Furthermore, she was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold and fans were praying for her. So, how is she faring now? Keep reading for further details.
Kathy Hilton Gives Huge Life Update On Kim Richards
Kyle and Kim Richards are OGs of RHOBH. Their relationship was very up and down, sometimes combative due to her dependency on her kids. Kim had four children and her life revolved around them and their needs. As viewers would soon see, Kim was also dependent on alcohol and had long struggled with substance abuse. Kyle wanted to help her but she also did not want to lose her. Kathy Hilton was their oldest sister and also would appear here and there. They would celebrate big life events together which could also turn ugly.
When Kyle was estranged from Kathy, Kim still appeared on the show and showed she had gotten sober. It was a huge deal as she watched her kids marry and have babies. She was even close with RHOBH alum, Brandi Glanville and would pop in with her. Kathy and Kyle soon reconciled so she came on as a friend which fans really liked to see. They fell out and Kim was back to chat with Kyle in Season 13. Sadly, she relapsed and caused a scene that led to her psych hold.
Kathy Hilton said that her family was there for her no matter what and now, she has a new update on the former child actress. According to People, Kim Richards will be with them for the upcoming holiday which is great news. She added that both Kim and Kyle will be over for Christmas:
“She’s doing well. Yes. We’ll all be together.”
As to who will host the holiday, that is still up in the air as of now. They have a handful of amazing choices and willing hosts, including Kathy’s daughter Paris Hilton:
“Paris wants to do one of them… I’m used to doing it all. Or we go to Kyle’s or we go to Kim’s, so I will see.”
An Uphill Battle
For many years, Kim Richards has struggled with alcohol abuse and viewers have seen this play out. Kyle Richards was called out for being her sister’s enabler but she always claimed she was scared she would get a call Kim had died. After this latest incident, Kyle and Kathy Hilton had allegedly been giving Kim tough love. They felt that was what she needed. Now, it seems she is on a positive track. That being said, they are looking forward to celebrating together. Kyle has also been going through a lot in the last year and a half as she and her husband, Mauricio Umansky called it quits.
