After wrapping a segment for Jimmy Kimmel Live last week, a fan bluntly asked Miley, “Was your ‘Flowers’ dress a reference to Jennifer Lawrence?”
And Miley simply said, “No, but I love that dress of hers.”
So, whether it was a “Dolly-“…
or “Disney-” trained response, here are people’s dissection of her response.
Many seem to think it is simply code to mean the exact opposite of what she said.
And the use of the word “but” reaffirms this.
Her “no” is to avoid drama, but she really means “yes,” according to some.
Basically, some people think it is a classier way of hinting that she really means “yes.”
And they also think her smile when answering the question confirms this.
On the other hand, there are people who say if it wasn’t directly about Jennifer, she may have “inspired” something.
Others are just plain confused.
And calling the answer shady…
But, really, not much was said.
There are even people applauding this person’s super deep dive into it all.
At the end of the day, people are pointing out that Miley did technically say “no” and that is what she meant!
So, there you have it. The speculation continues. One thing we can all agree on, though, is Miley sure can wear a bun!
