Talk show host and singer, Kelly Clarkson is thriving after her New York City move. The first-ever American Idol winner made a huge change in her life when she relocated from California to the East Coast in 2023. So, how has her life changed for the better? Keep reading for further details.
Kelly Clarkson Thriving After New York City Move
It was a huge deal when Kelly Clarkson started her own talk show. Those are always hit or miss but her mix of performances, interviews, and general enthusiasm were the perfect combination. The performer knew what to do and how to win audiences over, leaving people on the waitlist to get into the audience. Then, she made a huge decision and that was to move to New York City with her two children. Kelly was coming off of a divorce from Brandon Blackstock and was ready for something new and different.
New York offered a bevy of opportunities and luckily, everyone who worked with her was on board. This was the best thing for her and her kids. They walked everywhere, her look changed drastically, she launched a SiriusXM radio station, and her tickets were always sold out. She did not stop doing her concerts but she had new priorities and loved her new life. Kelly keeps winning Daytime Emmy Awards and is a fan favorite. Recently, an insider spoke to People and shed some light on how well Kelly is doing since moving to NYC.
Though she was settled and used to living in California, Kelly Clarkson apparently was not happy any longer living there. So, it only made sense to try something new and that was where the Big Apple came into the picture:
“The move to N.Y.C. was a fresh start for her that she has never regretted. She had not been happy in Los Angeles for a while but was still nervous about moving. It was the best decision for her though. They thrive as a family.”
The best part about her job right now is that Kelly can work and be a mother which she absolutely adores. She has two children, son, Remy, 8, and a daughter, River, 10.
Holidays On The Ranch
Though Kelly Clarkson has been celebrating the holidays on her show, she does leave the city for Christmas. When Keith Urban was on recently, Kelly shared that she and her family would head out to her ranch in Montana. That is the epitome of the holidays for her and she loves it. Another holiday treat is that her talk show was renewed for its seventh season. She has noted a big bonus, as aforementioned, is walking everywhere and takin the subway. Kelly does not get bothered and everyone is generally pretty nice. Seems like she found exactly where she belongs.
