LaToya Forever, who is one of the most popular parenting bloggers, posted a very short and straight-to-the-point video about parenting. It was a really powerful video as it showed her first son Zayn looking into the camera and his voice was very expressive of his honest feelings. He started with “Mommy, I love you.” He continued: “You’re the best.” “Just like kids a lot of times don’t even get this, I’m so fortunate I get this.”
The boy further goes on, asking her for care and in a particularly moving sentence he tells her: “Thank you for choosing me”. The caption accompanying the video by LaToya said that moments like this will always be in her heart and that they are the reason for every hard day, every tear, and every sacrifice being worth it.
Her community’s response was very fast and all very warm. Many individuals were moved to tears by the video. One person wrote, “I’m not crying, I’m over here cutting onions. Such a sweet way to be remembered and reminded that you’re a great mommy.” Another one commented, “This made my heart melt,” and many others agreed calling the moment very special.
There were also comments pointing out Zayn’s character and how his sweetness is the result of LaToya’s upbringing being very obvious. One observer remarked, “You’re such a good mom. He’s so sweet & kind!”. A female commenter implied the child’s loving words are a mirror of the love he receives at home when she stated, “They show exactly how you pour into them.” Another person highlighted the phrase “Thank you for choosing me” as the “best words ever,” displaying the one-of-a-kind and deep gratitude of an adopted child or simply a child who feels immensely desired.
Besides, LaToya’s followers had lighthearted comments about the family probably having fun at the moment. One netizen, who is probably acquainted with the family’s dynamics, teased, “That’s my sweet Zayn. He does love a lot and he was in a moment. Next scene I’m sure he was wrestling with Ayah.” Next, another comment directed to LaToya about her husband read, “Timmy you have 24 hours to respond!” which for the father creates a funny dilemma on how to match his son’s sentimental tribute.
The video has also turned out to be a very rich and strong reminder of the invisible benefits of parenting amidst all the positivity garnered. One of the best examples of this is the unscripted moment with Zayn when LaToya Forever created a community consisting of real family content. It goes beyond regular family vlogs, and a clear view of the love that symbolizes their home is what it gives.
